E. Answer the following questions

1. Explain the modes of e-commerce.

Ans: There are four modes of e-commerce:

i) Business-to-Business (B2B): Transaction occurs between two companies buying or selling products and services from each other.

ii) Business-to-Consumer (B2C): Transaction occurs between the company that manufactures and sells the products, and the consumer.

iii) Consumer-to-Consumer (C2C): Transaction occurs between the company that establishes a website to display and sell other company's products to the consumer.

iv) Digital Middle persons: This type of company gathers information from other company's type of products they offer and displays the name on their website.


2. What is net banking?
Ans: It is a form of electronic payment by using which the user can do online payment of the purchase done. It is also known  as online banking.


3. Write a short note on Paytm.

Ans: It is one of the fastest growing companies that provide e-wallet facility in India. This service is used by millions of people to pay their mobile bills, phone recharges, DTG services, etc. The owner of Paytm service is Mr. Vijay Shekhar Sharma and its headquarters is located at Noida, Uttar Pradesh.


4. What are blogs? Name the different types of blog?

Ans: A blog contains entries typically called posts that appears in LCFS (Last Come First Serve) i.e in reverse chronological order in which the most recent post appears first.

There are various types of blogs. Some of them are discussed below:

Personal blog: It is maintained by an individual and it is a form of online diary and commentary. It is one of the fastest medium to communicate with the family, friends and followers.

Microblogging: It is an act of posting small pieces of information that could be text, pictures, links, short duration videos, or other form of media on the internet. The www.twitter.com is a famous microblogging website.

Corporate blog: These are the blogs that are private maintained by business personnel or nonprofit organization.


5. What is a podcast? Explain the advantages of podcast.

Ans: A podcast is a series of digital media files which you can download from the internet and play it on a computer or MP3 Player. The word podcast is orginated from two words: "IPod" and "Broadcast".

The different advantages of podcasting are given below:
*Podcasts are downloaded automatically from the internet whenever any new files are uploaded. So, the user can view/listen according to their convenience.

*Podcasting is a facility which is free of cost.

*Podcast makes the information either audio or video personal, as it reaches directly to the end user.

*Podcast saves time as it can be listened or viewed anytime and anywhere (using a personal media player such as iPod)


6. What is E-Commerce?

Ans: The purchasing and selling of goods on the internet is called E-commerce.


7. What is E-Banking?

Ans: E-Banking allows you to access your account on the Internet from anywhere in the world.


8. What is Electronic Currency?

Ans: Electronic money or e-money, means the money balance recorded and deducted from the user's bank account or other financial institution that is not linked with the bvank account.


9. Write three features of E-Commerce?

Ans: Any three features of E-Commerce are:

*24x7 Accessibility: Customers can visit the stores, browse the products and place their order anytime.

*Non-Cash Payment: It allows customers to make payment through debit card, credit card, etc. 

*Fast Accessibility: Online stores also provide fast accessibility of the service on the Internet.


10. Write the benefits of E-Shopping.

Ans: The benefits of e-shopping are:

i) The customers can buy goods from a seller on the Internet.

ii) Customers can use credit/debit cards to make payments on the Internet.

iii) By sitting at one place, the customer can get a view of all the products.
